Background:
My first instrument was guitar, but my first gig was actually on drums
for a JHB punk band in 1999, but carrying all that shit drove me insane!
I played bass after that for several local bands, including "Cold
Shoulder" and "Nowhere Near". In 2002, I got a call from
a friend of mine who worked with Jo on the advertising side and he said
that Jo was looking for a bassist. I gave her a call, auditioned and got
the gig - cool! When Jo dissolved the band to write "Princess', I
joined up with New Academics to feed my gigging appetite, and still do
shows with them as well as Jo Day.
PS: I wanna thank the F***kkn B#$%& who stole my guitar & amp
from my car in 1999, because it was that incident that made me decide
to play bass!
